Faqs

All our tours begin with the pick-up of tourists at the door of their hotels. «We pick up our clients from any hotel located in the city of Cusco.» We recommend staying near the historic center of the city of Cusco to facilitate meeting your hotel.

How to prevent altitude sickness?

To reduce symptoms, acclimatize a day before at the height of the city of Cusco. We recommend taking coca leaf infusions (a natural plant used by the Incas), which is an excellent option to avoid altitude sickness.

For all tours that include hotels, we offer 3* and 4* category accommodations, with spacious and comfortable rooms, bathrooms, hot showers and buffet breakfast. If the tourist wishes, they can change the accommodation to a superior service by requesting it by email with an additional cost.

The dry season months between April and December are ideal to visit Cusco. During these days, the chance of rain is minimal, so the roads are not swampy and the landscapes are more enjoyable for taking photographs. On the other hand, the months with the most rain are January, February and March.

The coldest season in Cusco covers the months of May to July. During this time, the sun is strong during the day, but once it sets or if you spend a lot of time in the shade, it can get very cold, even dropping below freezing at night. It is necessary to wear warm clothing and jackets during these months.

We recommend purchasing tours weeks or months in advance, because train and Machu Picchu tickets have a space limit. Don’t wait until the last minute to book your tour as you may not find availability.

The train company that operates to Machu Picchu does not allow suitcases weighing more than 7 kilograms. To visit the city of Machu Picchu, it is recommended to bring a light and small backpack. The rest of the luggage can be left without problem in the storage room of your hotel in Cusco or in our office in Cusco, where we have luggage storage.
