Terms and Conditions

Customers are deemed to have read, understood, and accepted the following General Conditions.

The Reservation Contract

Your reservation is confirmed and a contract is effective and legally binding when MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC issues a written confirmation after receipt of the first applicable deposit amount. Please review your confirmation carefully and inform us immediately of any incorrect or incomplete information. Ensure that the names match exactly with the corresponding passport(s) that you are required to provide.

We Will Need the Following

  • Passport copies (required by Peruvian law to avoid paying the 18% tax that nationals pay and to purchase all tickets).
  • Emergency contact name, email address, and telephone number.
  • Travel and health insurance name and contact (highly recommended).
  • Your telephone number to be used in Peru.
  • 40% deposit of the total package price by credit card (PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Diners). A payment link will be sent.
  • Balance payment by credit card due 60 days before the start of the tour.

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking. If under 18 years of age, you must be accompanied by your parents. You agree to provide full, complete, and accurate information to MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC.

Medical Information Requirement

MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC reserves the right to request medical information or professional medical opinions where necessary for your safety or the safe operation of a tour.

Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed at the time of booking. A medical letter confirming fitness for participation will be required.

You are responsible for assessing whether a tour is suitable for you. MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC does not provide medical advice.

Special Requirements

Any special requirements must be communicated at the time of booking. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate requests, this may not always be possible.

All food allergies and dietary restrictions must be communicated in advance; however, accommodation cannot be guaranteed.

Age Requirements

Anyone under 18 years of age is considered a minor and must be accompanied by parents. If traveling with other adults, a notarized parental authorization is required.

All bookings involving minors are subject to review and approval by MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC.

Travel Insurance Requirements

Comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended. MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC acts only as an agent and is not liable for insurance claims.

Details Required for Booking

  1. Passport: A valid passport is required for at least six months beyond the end of travel. Copies must be submitted upon booking.
  2. Visa Application: Travelers are responsible for verifying visa requirements and obtaining any required visas. MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC is not responsible for visa arrangements.

Airfare

Domestic flights within Peru may be purchased through MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC and must be paid in full at booking. Prices are subject to change.

Final Payment & Acceptance of Booking

Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. Failure to pay may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit. Bookings made within 60 days require full payment at the time of booking.

Cancellation by the Participant

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email and include full name, travel date, and reservation code.

  • Booking to 60 days before arrival: 30% cancellation fee.
  • 61 to 45 days before arrival: 40% cancellation fee.
  • 44 to 30 days before arrival: 70% cancellation fee.
  • 29 to 0 days before arrival or no-show: 100% cancellation fee.
  • Flights are non-refundable once issued; changes incur a USD $50 administrative fee plus airline fees.

Inca Trail Cancellation Policy

Inca Trail permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Booking to 31 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee.
  • 30 to 15 days before arrival: 75% cancellation fee.
  • No-show: 100% cancellation fee.

Changes and Refunds

No refunds are issued for unused services. Any changes incur a USD $50 administrative fee plus supplier charges.

Travel Documents

Travelers are responsible for obtaining all required documentation, including passports, visas, and insurance. MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC is not responsible for errors or omissions related to documentation.

Guaranteed Departures & Tour Cancellation

A tour becomes guaranteed once at least one booking with a valid deposit is confirmed.

MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC guarantees departures unless affected by force majeure or safety concerns.

Acceptance of Risk

You acknowledge and accept the risks associated with adventure travel. By booking with MACHU PICCHU TOURS JC, you assume full responsibility for such risks.

You agree to follow all safety instructions and acknowledge responsibility for any costs related to injury or evacuation.
